Our Shared Myths

The Transversal Myths
Odysseus strings the bow & Arjuna strings the bow → Both to prove they are worthy of a woman
Bhima slays a man eating tribute demanding monster — Hatim slays one too —
There are many parallels in all culture. What does it mean that we developed a certain type of myth or story independently. Or even why does a certain kind of story appeal to everyone. The Aladdin’s lamp doesn’t seem to belong to a certain culture specifically. Westerners, Mid-Eastern, and Easterners both are appealed by it.
